Well I played against Kirby King the other night(MKDD). It was a lot of fun, eventhough the speed was around 1/4. But mind that we live overseas and yeah the closer or better connection you have the better the framerate will be. Oh and when Warp Pipe release later versions the framerate will probably also be better.

I don't expect all this unofficial online gaming to pick up before more of the "big" titles become available.

I think we were very lucky to get Mario Kart as the first unofficial online game cause that created a pretty big base of people going online, and when Pikmin 2, Custom Robo 2 and StarFox 2 will be released around may I expect it to go really crazy

And that goes for this topic as well... I just created it to make sure we have it ready

"Famitsu has reported that Chunsoft's RPG project for the GameCube, Homeland, will come on two discs. One for offline play, and one for online play. The second disc will allow players to use their GameCube as a server, which will then be able to accommodate up to 30 players. If you make your GameCube a server, you play the 'god game', and you control the game for anyone who connects to you, spawning monsters, starting events and checking all the players. Pretty swifty, right?

Unfortunately, details on this game are pretty scarce, and it is not known if this title will ever see the light of day outside Japan. However, there is always the option to import. We will keep you posted!"

Man it sounds really cool to be able to control the game, you could make it a living h*ll for people joining your server

I don't know if you guys have heard about this XBOX program that's like WarpPipe. It's called XBOX Connect It's a way to play ANY (including XBOX Live Games with this capability) games with system link (Like HALO!) online. Go to www.xbconnect.com to download the program. I think it's been out longer than WarpPipe and it's easier to join games on it. You can have a friends list and there are chat rooms on it too. Check the site out for more info. MK, please just add some info about it and my logon for it on this page please.

I just checked the Warp Pipe site. The developers are going to E3 (lucky b******s) and they plan on releasing the new, improved 0.4 version. I might start playing MKDD again if this is good.

I have LIVE right now but so far I have been thwarted in my attempts to set it off. My next attempt involves an ethernet cable and drilling a hole in the floor to get to my XBOX. When I get it working I'll give some impressions. But MK, you should add XBOX Connect to that list (mentioned in my earlier post). It's really good for playing Halo over the Internet

well using and downloading warppipe is 100% free.

But you might need to buy a cable or two in order to get your Gamecube read for Internet play.

I'm a little confused as to what you mean by that. Do you mean that you didn't know that the GCN was capable of an internet connection or that you didn't know a certain game was capable of being connected through the internet for online multiplayer gaming?
