Who are the Best Rollers and Spot-dodgers?

I have noticed that characters such as Lucario and Meta-Knight have a much faster roll than characters such as Fox, but does that affect invincibility time? Also, does everyone's spot-dodge last from frame 2-22, or are some characters different?
So, if rolls and/or spot-dodge time is different between characters, who has the best roll(front and back) or spot-dodge?
And one more question: Is there anybody who has a significant difference between their front and back rolls?

Thank you for answering.

Sheik's back-roll seems better than her forward roll.
Doesn't ZSS have a terrible spot-dodge?

ZSS has terrible dodges, period. Her rolldodge leaves her vulnerable for almost half of the animation if not more.

INteresting, now it just needs to be combined with the actual speed of their dodges and it will be pwnsome.
Since even though MK has 33 frames and only 9 frames of invincibility, the speed of his dodge means its difficult to hit him out of it.

woah MK's roll backward sux. Its worse than ZSS. Now time to take advantage.

Anyway 3GOD mind if you do ROB next?

I've always wondered how good his spot dodge frames are.

Captain Falcon has a surprisingly long spotdodge. I've managed to dodge a full Nayru's love several times in one match I had using him. I could never do that with Olimar.

Falco has a very long and fast roll, air/spotdodge is almost 50 frames, thats amazing, probably the best one(or maybe Lucario)

DDD has the best dodges
His forward roll isn't that great. His back roll and spot dodge are good, though.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned Diddy's spot dodge yet. Also, aren't Pit's rolls rather quick?

Pit has an amazing spotdodge. He is one of the few that can spot dodge a Marth's dancing blade twice then shield grab him.

Penticton's finest!
I hear Rick Astley has a nice roll.
In seriousness, Dedede is amazing at dodging.

Does anyone know if all airdodges have the same properties too, or if they differ like Spotdodge and rolls?

Since several people have been asking about R.O.B., here's his data, and I'll add it to my earlier post for comparison.

R.O.B.:
Spot Dodge lasts 25 Frames
Invincible Frames 2 – 20

Roll Backward lasts 34 Frames
Invincible Frames 4 – 21

Roll Forward lasts 34 Frames
Invincible Frames 4 – 21

Air Dodge lasts 39 Frames
Invincible Frames 4 – 29

As you can see, his spot dodge is on par with most of the other characters. The big advantage he has is that his Dsmash comes out in 4 frames and lasts a while.

wow so if ROB had falco's spot dodge 22 frames with invincibility stopping at frame 20 then he would be absolutely broken? But I'm still surprised at how good Falco's spot dodge is.

Are there IASA frames on a spot dodge?

And good work 3GOD thx for posting about ROB, always wanted to know.

How do you go about testing this?
you pretty much test how many frames it is and how many invincibility frames there are and how fast and slow the rolls and spot dodges prtty much i dont know much about testing

I've seen Diddy Kong's spot-dodge. He can spot-dodge really fast to the point that he creates the illusion of looking invincible all the way.

Because I don't like that Samus' rolling isn't that great, I have decided to leave the rolling out of my gameplay. It gives me more options and I don't have to spend extra wasted frames.

Link's rolls are horrible, you're vulnerable the whole second half of them.
It's not like he always rolls in the Zelda games, right? >_<

If you get a chance, could you get Lucas, too? I always feel like his dodges are late, with huge amount of vulnerability at the end.
