Ike's in and that's (his) Final

I didn’t forget it was my turn yesterday to update, nope, not me. It was…uh…the government. Anywya, yesterday’s update was the Final Smash of Ike. While to some it’s old news (not sure how you knew when you weren’t allowed to film at E for All!) but to others, it’s new, and either way, it’s nice to get some clean and crisp images of it in action.

<strong>Great Aether</strong>

Press B and swing a blazing sword upwards, knocking people skywards.

Then Ike leaps up into the air and prepares to let lose…

…AETHER! A large arc of flaming sword gets swung around…

…and sent back towards the ground….

..and BLAU! The poor victim of this is then launched away.

While this is going on of course, if you’re not caught up, you’re still free to move around and fight, however Ike is invincable during this attack, so don’t bother trying to get him. Be warned though, multiple people can get caught up in the attack.

Sakurai likes the idea of using this in Team combat though.

It's one of the coolest FSes yet I would say, I guess it trys to balance out with Ike's godly speed.

here is a question but i wonder if you could do a final smash while ikes doing his double smash you most likely can't do this but there hasn't been anything the decomfired this

Sakurai's creativity for a name just hit a brick wall and died. Great Aether?? Great?? Even Inferno Aether would have been cooler, and I randomly came up with that. -.-

Sakurai makes it sound like a Diddyzed special move though. Anyways I find it nice that it is now out of the way.

You know this FS could have been cooler if it was like Link's FS but slower ans more powerful, but just a little slower, but not to much slower....wait is IKE slow? sighhh....i guess ill start training with Roy-.-#...

I really thought there was more to this move than what Sakurai is telling us.
Isn't there a barrage of attacks when Ike reaches the apex of his jump?

I love this Final Smash, but Sakurai giving all of these updates we already know isn't the best. Something big please.

well ive looked at vids here and there but nothing containing ike at all so this was new for me......but im realizing at some point there going to update sonics fs which everyone does alredy know about....hoping for a double that day.

no...it was only called that because someone in the smash Wiki called it that before we even knew the tru name for Ike's FS....and isnt Shinku Japanese for "Super" or "Great"?

I didn't pay close enough attention to videos so I never saw Ike's FS or knew there were three different taunts. YAY!! :laugh:

That's why I'm not complaining.

Oh, and I think the red streak left by the sword twirl looks fantasic. It's a beautiful shade of red.

Well i thought is final smash would look alot more powerful than it is. But all in all it looks like a pretty good final smash compared to a couple of other people's.
