Today’s DOJO update revealed an old friend of Snake’s as an assist trophy, Gray Fox. Gray Fox hails from both Metal Gear , Metal Gear 2 and Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes. Gray Fox was a great friend of Snake’s who eventually ended up fighting against. In the end Gray Fox knew where his loyalty lied in Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes.

Gray Fox is a cyborg ninja, with a very strong skill with the sword. He, like Snake, excels in stealth missions. His abilities to move quickly make him an Assist Trophy to be reckoned with.<!--more-->

Sakurai has stated in a rather teasing fashion about Assist Trophies chance of being possible characters with this statement:

The update for Gray Fox is markedly different in Japanese then it is in English. Apparently, Gray Fox speaks when he appears from the Assist Trophy, and if Snake is on the field, he will say something different. Also, the picture captions are quotes from Gray Fox.

I didn't discover this, another user on GameFAQ's did.

He seems very similar to Ghoro. Well I guess this means Tails or Knuckles have a shot in brawl now.

This week seems very dry. I hope this means something special is coming Friday.

Whoa, I thought Gray Fox was a playable character for a sec. I don't know, I feel that there is something missing about his look.

What is equally important in this update is that, I think we can get from the wording, probably two more assist trophies, one from Sonic and one from the other. (Still, no assurances.)

speaking of butts... it was funny how misto roboto "masterofstayinguplateandbeingthefirsttopostaboutupdates" got all butt hurt just because someone mentioned something about his post.

You never thought this might happen in the world.

I misread a couple of sentences in this update that made it a bit funnier for me. Thought I'd share my dyslexia.
And fox's face is great. :D

Seriously, guys, don't be such a *******. Even I understood what he was saying. He didn't need to clarify that he meant that these characters were not playable. If you can't grasp this concept, then you fail.

E-123 Omega

Omega is Eggman's strongest E-series robot, and he proves that statement with his weapon arsenal. Omega will annihilate your enemies with rockets, bombs, and bullets, so it's best if you don't get caught in the crossfire.

I don't see how people confuse assist trophy characters with playable characters. The first thing I see when I go to the dojo is the little icon in the top right of the update.

Gray Fox is dead. If he makes it as an AT, then death means nothing to Sakurai. This opens the door a bit more for Claus and Ridley then. Apparently, anything can happen in this world...

Today's update was actually pretty good. Gray Fox looks like an awesome AT. Hopefully Sakurai will reveal some more third party AT's soon.

Pretty cool Assist Trophy, but why must Sakurai taunt us by saying he would make a cool Playable Character. Also, this probably shows there will be a Sonic AT *cough* Tails *cough*.
