Link's SE Storyline Ideas

hmm, maybe metaknight captured zelda and link's after his ship. then yoshi comes along to help him out. idk. but i'm really looking forward to this story mode, it seems very interesting so far =)

But they better have a scene with Link pulling out the Master Sword. Or something like that. Otherwise I will have to kill someone.

I'm betting his level would have to be inside a temple of some sort, like Melee just much larger and without all the other Links hanging around. That is unless he has to fight Shadow Link, then I wouldn't mind. It'd be fun if it was anything like LoZ Adventure of Link, fighting thoses weird red knights. Maybe even switches laying around that can only be activated from far away. This would mean he'll have to resort to the arrows for deep narrow openings, the boomerang for pulling levers to open doors, and bombs for opening cracked walls. It'd also be great if there was a portal deep underground at the end to the temple leading to the outside on top of a high platform. This'll give a refreshing feel of the outside world once your done inside the temple. From there you fight off countless monsters flooding from within the temple until your the last one standing

How does that sound?

Hmm... well considering it seems pretty likely that game will have different paths... if Zelda is the one Wario takes away, I'm betting Link will be the one to save her.

Obviously, when the get to the end of Link's SE, you should face Ganon.
And after you beat him, you should unlock him.

LinkSpecialist's idea is cool too.

no idea whats gonna happen but im really liking a story mode that fun to play which means having fun when getting characters and for the new people and the noobs who dont think there new its a good place to practice and have fun instead of wanting to beat yourself after the 3rd time

^I don't think there ever was a video, just that picture of him and Yoshi looking up at the Halberd. Kind of a random potential duo, but so was Fox and Diddy Kong, and no one complained about that.

From the looks of that screenshot, Link and Yoshi are in some sort of sub-desert field. There's a temple in the background, which is probably where the Halberd is headed to; perhaps an important artifact is held there or something.
But why would Yoshi be there? I imagine the Yoshi species thrives in tropical climates, so an arid grassland doesn't make much sense. And I can't really think of a reason to pair Link and Yoshi; Mario/Pit and Fox/Diddy were explained well enough, but the only real explanation I see is that Yoshi's Island was Subspaced, and Yoshi's looking for Mario to help get it back, and on the way he meets Link (who is going to some temple to check on an artifact).

hmmm is ganon and sheik really in brawl?

i heard something about them being in it on Game Informer...
if sheik WAS in brawl... how will the story go together? wow... i really want brawl now...

A possible link intro

Link is standing in the desert temple in TP, studying the place where Minda was telepoted to at the end. Suddenly he hears the sound of a motorbike he look up and leaps from the temple landing eligently onto his horse, we then see the dust cloud we zoom in and we see Wario driving with Zelda under arm

Link takes out an arrow and fires it at the bikes tire Wario gets a flat and Link rides to him. As Link charges Wario lunges head first into the horses leg.

You fight Wario

After defeating him link stand triumphant, Wario get ups and with a cheeky grin he removes his helmet reveling a Yoshi egg, he throws it to the ground, it breaks and out pops Yoshi with his eyes glowing purple (don't worry i have an explanation). Link confronted by this readies himself.

Then the Halberd flies over and Wario and Zelda are taken inside

You fight Yoshi

After defeating him, you are left with a Yoshi statue still with purple eyes, Link puts his hand on it, the triforce on the back of his hand glows, Yoshi is revived and back to normal. They both look and see the ship flying away.

Link and Yoshi both look at each other, then at the limp horse, then at each other again.

Cut to link riding Yoshi full pelt towards the ship

Now THAT would be awesome!!! And it almost seems like that would be the case for what happens too. So my guess would be that the reason that Yoshi has purple eyes and is fought against is because he was controlled by the Subspace Army, myes? Seems to make sense.

The mental image of Link riding on a Yoshi is just funny. XD

Thanks spin dash, my purple eyes control actually links to another story i did introducing mewtwo, basicly it goes

Minster get master ball, master ball used on mewtwo, mewtwo contorls people, physic is for some reason purple

And that image I posted would be him going through the Desert Temple to get to Wario.

It fits perfectly!

just an idea, the desert temple could not just be a link to the twilight zone but a link to all realities and the minister is going their because he need the great energy of the chaos emeralds, at to get them he must open the breach, enter sonic.

Link, sonic and yoshi of to save the universe

Well all speculations aside I think we'll have to w8 and see.
Since Brawl is a bit random we can't tell how that pic is linked to Link's enter :p Just that Yoshi probably will be in it xD Hopefully Link rescues Yoshi because we know Link is the best Hero of em' all in all Times :p

I also second this. Everytime Link grunts and hit yoshi yoshi goes "YOSHIIIII!!" Too epic :chuckle: Although I doubt you'll do any yoshi-riding in brawl. ...but what if there are special team-based attacks? Like Mario/Luigi (or wario) super attack, or Mario/Sonic, or Link/Zelda, or others? But I digress.

dude you are a genius. i saw your other stuff and it works great. check this out.

as for the topic:

it starts a lot like Shadowball Enthusiast's, but mabey more like link pwons wario, wario leaves via airship, then sub space army minions come and link is out numbered. you fight for a while then suposedly win. cut seen to more army of subspace people ( and mabey a glimps of ganondorf) and link is knocked to the ground and about to be finished when at the last second an egg comes out of nowhere and intercepts. everyone looks back at an army of rainbow yoshis (of death). so you can fight as link or yoshi. oh and also you fight with a yoshi team also. you win and the yoshi tribe loans you there single best yoshi. link holds him above his head like he does in his games and item music plays. ok mabey not but its a funny picture in my head. :p . the tribe takes epona to heal or somthing, and linkheads of, posibly on yoshi, in to the sunset... to kick @$$:cool:!

i think its good, what about you?

Actually, I too am reminded of the TP Forest Temple. But now that you mention the underground area in TP's Kakariko Village, it's starting to look like a combination between the two.

I think the Link riding Yoshi think might very well happen considering one preview showed Kirby and Peach riding his star to escape. If it doesn't it should.

It's important to remember that not everyone seems to be immediately connected. At first we see Mario, Peach, Zelda and Kirby together. Pit who watches from afar joins up Mario. Kirby and Peach join up and briefly see Fox who joins with Diddy although Diddy was previously with DK. Dk and Diddy face off with Bowser.

What I'm saying is I think we'll see a lot of team switching and what we see in one scene isn't necassarily a set team nor will we always see traditional pairings given that Link is not seen with Zelda at the beginning.

If Young Link is in (which I hope he is XD) then I personally think it would be awesome to have these two meet up. Link can go like "zOMGWTF?!?!" and Young Link can be like "OMFGNOWAI!!"

Well they already said Link fights a Shaydas in the mines... And that as you people are calling boss or mini boss is a Shaydas. XD

Zelda most likley left Hyrule to see Kirby VS Mario without telling Link, and Link went searching for her.

I think that picture where he is with yoshi came up like this:


When wario turned zelda into a statue/trophy (whatever), he ran away. Then Link suddenly appears and wario fights with link. This fight you will play with link i guess.

Wario loses so he runs away, and manages to get into halberd.
Link curses this and suddenly Yoshi appears. The two then team up

Tell me your thoughts
