Dark.Pch here. I decided to make a guide on Peach Vs Y.link. Cause there is confusion out there that Y.Link counters Peach. To some Peaches Yes, to others no. So its best to understand the match up. To Me, Y.link is not a counter to Peach. He gives her a hard time yes, but is no counter at that. I have been studying this match up and Have learned alot from the wins and loses I saw of me and other Peach Vs Y.link videos. Now I'm to Peach pro or think anything like that. Not even semi pro. (though few think so.......I really dont know........>___<)Somakeing this guide is not to be cocky or anything like that. But I think Im able to help out with this match up from what I know. And I have no problem making this guide since I love to type like crazy 
Note that this is a guide to help with the match up. I may not be 100% with my info but I think its good enough to help Peaches who have trouble in this match up.

Have good control of Peach-
Movement is important and One must know how to do. One needs to know how to move to throw your enemy off guard and stuff. and link your movement into attacks and mindgames. can just ran and attack. Have to use your movement to execute your moves and mindgames. Like wave dash back to slap. Wave dash back, then foword to slap to Dsmash. wave dash back to FC-Fair to wave dash forward to grab. Many things you can do. Its end less. If you can do this then your set to go. Movement is a big part of smash. You can know all the tricks and all. but if you dont know how to set it up, its useless. or can only get you so far.

Y.link that are more weapon then sword play-
On spamming Y.Links you have to be forceful and not give him much space to breath to pull out weapons, here is advice I gave to my friend on this match up, so it can help for you and any other player that has problems.
Once Y.link has a bomb in his hand, you dont have to worry about getting hit with his regular attacks. For he and do only three things....
-throw bomb
-shoot arrow
-throw bomberang
- Z-drop Boom
So keep that in mind. He cant even hit you with his hook shot.
If you want to tone down the spamming, best to stay on his azz and dont give him much space. Only a fool will pull out a bomb or bomberang when you are right in thier faces. For you can abuse the lag time and get them before they can use the weapon.

Alert! Bomb *****!!! avoid at all cost-
The bomb is what to really avoid the most. For it starts the ****. Here is a way to deal with them. When a bomb hits your shield, Jump out the shield and Z-grab it. So you will have something to use against him, and it would be faster to attack him instead of picking up a turnip. Try to avoid getting hit with bombs the most out of all weapons, and at the same time stay close to him. You have to learn how to evade while getting close So dont be so afraid to get near him or stay close to him. Cause if you keep on his azz, you force him to fight you off with his attacks, not his weapons since they are too slow.

Defensive-
Now when you have a turnip and get close to him, shield and when you think he is open, throw it out of your shield. Throw turnips out of your shield alot while getting close. Very affective while getting close to spammers. Turnips out of the shield is a good way to get some damage in while weapons are coming at you. But pay attention to your shield. Arrows and bombs can hit you while your shield is kinda shrinking. A safe way to get close and get some damage in.

Get turnips with caution-
If your near him while he spams, DONT pick up a turnip, you leave yourself open for combo **** or an attack. Only get one when he is out of your range to hit you with a weapon or he is too busy running away and spamming.

Offensive (Part 1)-
When Y.Link Has a bomb in his hand and your near him, just watch him closely. Once he uses up the bomb or Z-drops it, get at him as fast as you can. To me, once he drops or uses his bomb he is nothing to worry about at all. For they rely on the bomb to start thier combos. Make him waste it. bait him to waste it when near. He cant hold it for long since it will blow up on him. so whill he has a bomb in his hand stay close, but at the same time be evadsive. Be on point and fast.

More of a defensive Y.link-
Remember this as well. when you have a turnip and you go to Y.Link it puts him on the defensive even more, cause now you have a way to hit him at distance. And he will be on the look out for that. Also remember that while you have a turnip in your hand, You can not do any other attack except Up B and F-B. You cant even use your air attacks. Only time you can do that is if you use a FC tech. YOU can FC air attacks while you have a turnip in your hand.

Stages-
Best way to deal with Y.Link, small stages, dont give him much room to camp and you can keep him in range to combo and abuse. But be aware if Up close, Y.link get still do damage to Peach with his sword play, so learn how to deal with him up close.
-Yoshi story
- Fountain of Dreams
These 2 are your best bet to stay close to him and start some hard core damage.
-Final Destination-
Flat out surface. A straight up brawl with nothing to cut in and mess things up. This stage is a lil on Y.link side cause of how big it is. so he can camp if he wanted too. and wont have much trouble launching weapons at you. But it also makes it harder for him to kill you cause of the size of the stage. So just be aware of weapons and stay close. and switch from offensive to defensive from time to time when needed.
-Dreamland 64-
Peaches home tuff. Her land to own, and not die. The platforms can be a problem for Y.link can use them for quick escapes and to Z-drop bombs on you. If you miss tech on platforms and hit the platform, it can lead to **** if he is near you. So be careful. It can be hard to stay close to Y.Link though
-Battle field-
I say this stage it can go ether way. Y.link can use the platforms for his bomb tricks. But it wont be that hard to stay close to him. Also he cant hookshot the edge. So dont have to worry about that. and if he can I still would not worry. to hard too pull off.
-Kongo jungle 64-
This could be a play ground for Y.Link. Stage is big, moving platforms and there is two high one on each side of the stage. This will make it hard to stick to Y.link. His recovery can be his own enemy here. for a fact he cant hookshot on this stage at all. and it hard to grab the edge. and you can live long on this stage. This stage can be alright for Peach. Asl long as you know what you are doing.
- Corneria -
I think this can be in Peaches favor. Peach can **** people near a wall. so on the right side of the stage, Peach can do damage hardcore. Though on that side if your below him, he can Z-drop bombs there. so watch out for that if your going after him in that situation.

Dsmash at your own risk-
I noticed one Move in this match up that gets Peach killed alot. And now its not a move By Y.link. It's by Peach. And that move is her Dsmash. I noticed from my Vids and other Peach Vs. Y.link that most of the Grabs and combos comes cause the Peach spmammed the move or used it at the wrong time. After an FC tech, Down Dsmash. Cause Y.Link can do 2 things.
- Jump before you Dsmash
- Grab you when they shield it cause the Dsmash Pushes you Back will eating the shield and Y.Link Has a long grab. Also the move Lags.
Most kills and Combos are done cause the Peach use Dsmash. You have to tone that down. Only do it when you are sure you can Get through the shield. I suggest to payclose attention to his shield before you decided to Dsmash after an attack. You could try a down tilt or a grab. A good spaced Dtilt can help. And a good grab game helps as well to keep them guessing. I say Dsmash is a move you have to tone down in this match up. And if you are gonna use it, make sure it hits.

Float cancel with Caution-
You need to be alert when you FC in the air. Y.link can shoot you dont easy. Be aware of his bombs and the distance between you and him. Close FC tech can do damage (then after this, some Peach will then Dsmash, and they get grabbed or D-air or a Bomb Combo) Fastest A move she has is her N-air. (maybe her back air too but I think her N-air is slightly faster) Y.links like to throw bombs in the air. So make sure you dont go into a bomb when FC'ing.

Offensive (Part 2)
I started to go full Force on Y.Link with My FC. I would do FC tech around him. and even a few pillars. I noticed it gave Y.Link a very hard time to use a weapon, even a bomb and he can just pull them out while he jumps, but I would just go after him and abouse his lag for getting a bomb. Good FC can eat his shield, and if he rolls and your fast enough to stick with him, You can rack up some damage. But while in his face make sure you know what Y.link can do to break free. with or without a bomb in his hand. It would be hard for him to N-air you out of the shield. Space your FC techs well so you can abuse the shield stun and get a few grabs in. If not space well, Y.link can Grab you or N-air out of the shield (at times they would back air too just to get some space from you so be aware of that).

Roll with caution/quick escape-
I seen peaches roll alot when Y.Link is going nuts with N-airs and back airs. I have done that mistake as well. attack out of the shield for a quick escape. Or Up-B out of the shield. I just started doing that against Y.link and it was quick helpful. But if they block the Up-B, you can be lest open to an attack. So be careful and know what your enemy is gonna do. You can try to wave dash out of the shield as well. Her wave dash is short but it can help. If you keep rolling while he goods air attack crazy, your bound to get hit when he is on you like a bug.

-Turnip game-
Try to recatch your turnips after they hit for quick attacks and faster turnip set ups. Use the fact from the turnip guide in the fight. It help alot.

Edge guard-
To crack Him with a turnip when he recovers, you cant hit him when he starts it. Hit him when its nearly done. He is protected by a turnip at the start.also, and Instant float to a D-air to N-air works well. But time his recovery or it wont work. Y.Link can get back onthe stage while holding the edge in many was.
- Jump up on stage and throw a bomb
- Waveland to an attack or grab
- Jump on the stage with a U-air
- Jump up with a N-air
- Jump up with a D-air
- Jump up with a B-air ( believe)
- jump up with a N-air.
- jump up with a F-air.
Now the U-air last the longest. so be aware when he gets up like that to not rush at him, you will get hit.

Pay attention to his Bomb-
The way Y.link comes at you the most is with a bomb. Its what can save him and what starts his combos. Once that bomb is out the way I say half of your problems is gone if you can stay close to him. Which this you can use his bomb to help you have the upper hand. I explain it a few tips up on my post. cause Y.link will retreat for a chance to get a bomb. But it will be hard cause Peach is on his azz

-Dont try anything too risky if Y.link is close-
Peach is a character that can get combo like crazy. So be aware even at low damage you can still get comboed pretty hard. Good DI is key here since Y.link has many was to combo you which I shall explain next.

-Y.links kill moves-
Y.ink link has ways to kill Peach. Here are a few basic ways Y.link will try to end you
- Bommerang, Bomb, D-air. [ The percent it would take to kill you on a big stage is a lil past 100 I believe with good DI or smash DI]
- Dthrow, Up-air. [ I say a lil over 90 to kill you on a big stage]
- Dsmash [ a lil over 80-90 would do it. with good DI you might be able to live too a hundred or a lil more.]
-Fsmash [ 90-100 I say is the kill range. Good DI can save you past that.] Not that the first hit of his Fsmah you can crouch cancel
-Nair and Fair [lil over 100 I think. good DI can save you and you can last longer. His Niar does not have that much of a Force. which is why Y.link can combo with it well. So you can live long off of that attack.
Up-air without a combo [ I say around 90-100 or a lil more. DI maybe longer.]
Dair- (90-100. DI can help you live longer. Im not too sure if it hits you dead center of Peach, if DI can help. Same for the Up-air)
All of this moves can be link into creative was to get his kills. Set up with bombs, arrows and bommerang. He also can do jab combos to set up his kill moves.

Throw combos of Y.link-
-Dthrow. Y.link can down throw Peach to a few up tilts, or, Down air and Up air. DI and % determines this. He can also do it to F-airs or back airs
Up throw.- He can do it to an Up-air or N-air or back air. DI and % depends on this. He can also star his combos with his bomb or other weapons.
Throw combos For Peach-
Up throw- You can do it to a F-air or back air. N-air as well. DI and % determines this. You might be able to sneak an Up air.
Dthrow- You can link it with a Fsmash (hard with DI) Ftilt Niar and Bair. DI and % determines this.

To finish Y.Link off at high %-
You can finish him with a FC D-air to N-air around 90-100 depending on stage and DI. Her Upsmash a lil over 100. it can be less if it was charged longer then just using the C- stick. Up-air around 100~. F-air I say around 100~. Back air around 100~. Fthrow around 110~ Dsmash depends on If he CC or he got hit once out of the 5 hits before he went flying.But for a K.O I belive around 110~120+ Satges can make this a hassel to really end him (or anyone for that matter) with Dsmash. Her Fsmash depends on what you hit him with. The tennis racket can finish him off at mid if your near the edge. ( note to finish him off with a F-smash, best to be near the edge.) the tennis racket will send him flying downward. and will make it hard for him to recover with his up B. Golf club. Has somewhat good force, but it launches Y.link up for, there for, he has a good chance to make it back. Expect him to come back with a bomb in his hand. High damage is recommended for a kill off this move. The frying pan , launches him straight up. you need really % and over to end him. Though if you hit him at a certain angle with your pan, it can launch Him just like the golf club. Aslo while he is off the stage, if you can crack him with a turnips while he tries to come back, it can end him fight there. Good aim and timing is key though. So have a good eye.

the vids should be able to show what happens when things are done right, wrong, etc. And noticed how Dsmash can be your worst friend if used wrong. To me a Peach who spams the move is easy kill for Y.link. Though if spammed the right way it can help own him. All depends on how the player things.

I just started doing that against Y.link and it was quick helpful. But if they block the Up-B, you can be lest open to an attack. So be careful and know what your enemy is gonna do. You can try to wave dash out of the shield as well. Her wave dash is short but it can help. If you keep rolling while he goods air attack crazy, your bound to get hit when he is on you like a bug.

-Turnip game-
Try to recatch your turnips after they hit for quick attacks and faster turnip set ups. Use the fact from the turnip guide in the fight. It help alot.

Edge guard-
To crack Him with a turnip when he recovers, you cant hit him when he starts it. Hit him when its nearly done. He is protected by a turnip at the start.also, and Instant float to a D-air to N-air works well. But time his recovery or it wont work. Y.Link can get back onthe stage while holding the edge in many was.
- Jump up on stage and throw a bomb
- Waveland to an attack or grab
- Jump on the stage with a U-air
- Jump up with a N-air
- Jump up with a D-air
- Jump up with a B-air ( believe)
- jump up with a N-air.
- jump up with a F-air.
Now the U-air last the longest. so be aware when he gets up like that to not rush at him, you will get hit.

Pay attention to his Bomb-
The way Y.link comes at you the most is with a bomb. Its what can save him and what starts his combos. Once that bomb is out the way I say half of your problems is gone if you can stay close to him. Which this you can use his bomb to help you have the upper hand. I explain it a few tips up on my post. cause Y.link will retreat for a chance to get a bomb. But it will be hard cause Peach is on his azz

-Dont try anything too risky if Y.link is close-
Peach is a character that can get combo like crazy. So be aware even at low damage you can still get comboed pretty hard. Good DI is key here since Y.link has many was to combo you which I shall explain next.

-Y.links kill moves-
Y.ink link has ways to kill Peach. Here are a few basic ways Y.link will try to end you
- Bommerang, Bomb, D-air. [ The percent it would take to kill you on a big stage is a lil past 100 I believe with good DI or smash DI]
- Dthrow, Up-air. [ I say a lil over 90 to kill you on a big stage]
- Dsmash [ a lil over 80-90 would do it. with good DI you might be able to live too a hundred or a lil more.]
-Fsmash [ 90-100 I say is the kill range. Good DI can save you past that.] Not that the first hit of his Fsmah you can crouch cancel
-Nair and Fair [lil over 100 I think. good DI can save you and you can last longer. His Niar does not have that much of a Force. which is why Y.link can combo with it well. So you can live long off of that attack.
Up-air without a combo [ I say around 90-100 or a lil more. DI maybe longer.]
Dair- (90-100. DI can help you live longer. Im not too sure if it hits you dead center of Peach, if DI can help. Same for the Up-air)
All of this moves can be link into creative was to get his kills. Set up with bombs, arrows and bommerang. He also can do jab combos to set up his kill moves.

Throw combos of Y.link-
-Dthrow. Y.link can down throw Peach to a few up tilts, or, Down air and Up air. DI and % determines this. He can also do it to F-airs or back airs
Up throw.- He can do it to an Up-air or N-air or back air. DI and % depends on this. He can also star his combos with his bomb or other weapons.
Throw combos For Peach-
Up throw- You can do it to a F-air or back air. N-air as well. DI and % determines this. You might be able to sneak an Up air.
Dthrow- You can link it with a Fsmash (hard with DI) Ftilt Niar and Bair. DI and % determines this.

To finish Y.Link off at high %-
You can finish him with a FC D-air to N-air around 90-100 depending on stage and DI. Her Upsmash a lil over 100. it can be less if it was charged longer then just using the C- stick. Up-air around 100~. F-air I say around 100~. Back air around 100~. Fthrow around 110~ Dsmash depends on If he CC or he got hit once out of the 5 hits before he went flying.But for a K.O I belive around 110~120+ Satges can make this a hassel to really end him (or anyone for that matter) with Dsmash. Her Fsmash depends on what you hit him with. The tennis racket can finish him off at mid if your near the edge. ( note to finish him off with a F-smash, best to be near the edge.) the tennis racket will send him flying downward. and will make it hard for him to recover with his up B. Golf club. Has somewhat good force, but it launches Y.link up for, there for, he has a good chance to make it back. Expect him to come back with a bomb in his hand. High damage is recommended for a kill off this move. The frying pan , launches him straight up. you need really % and over to end him. Though if you hit him at a certain angle with your pan, it can launch Him just like the golf club. Aslo while he is off the stage, if you can crack him with a turnips while he tries to come back, it can end him fight there. Good aim and timing is key though. So have a good eye.

the vids should be able to show what happens when things are done right, wrong, etc. And noticed how Dsmash can be your worst friend if used wrong. To me a Peach who spams the move is easy kill for Y.link. Though if spammed the right way it can help own him. All depends on how the player things.
