Isabelle could have come before Villager and not broken the trend, and our Dragon Quest character could have been Slime as well.

If I remember, a Assist Trophy can't be playable in the same game.
Little Mac was in Brawl, later became a fighter in Smash 4 (Wii U/3DS)
Same with Dark Samus and Isabelle who were in Smash 4, later became playable in Ultimate.

No. We won't know until they're announced in June. And whoever it is, let's not resort to giving people crap about it because it's not what they thought it would be.

If the character isn't Spring Man anyway, a lot of blood will have been spilt for nothing. Best to not accidentally be set up to be proven wrong by causality.
