I heard about Corrin being announced before I saw the trailer and, I'll be honest, my reaction was a mixture of apathy and disdain. After seeing the trailer, he looks pretty neat, but I'm still not hyped about yet another FE character when I feel there could have been a rep from another (possibly a new) series.

Bayonetta's inclusion was surprising thanks to her games' content but otherwise fits IMO.

I'm honestly considering giving up on Villager for Mewtwo, I feel like I haven't been able to click with him like I want. I lose HARD to defensive play as him, though I had a late epiphany that I probably need to grab and dash attack less.

I can understand that. Lack of Paper Mario for me left me a bit sore. But my rationale for this is that the likes of Inkling, Isaac, PM, and Dixie will always be the face of their respective series whenever a Smash 5 rolls along, whereas now is pretty much Corrin's only shot. If he's not in now, the newest FE character will be used for Smash 5, and Sakurai decided that he couldn't pass Corrin up.

Ah well.

Mewtwo got some much needed mobility and attack buffs, so maybe he'll work out for you. If a character isn't clicking anymore, no need to try and force it. If Corrin fits me well, I'll likely drop Sonic for that reason.

Like I said, the actual gameplay looks good so I can't complain about that. FE's just had a huge explosion of numbers this game already and I'm slightly tired of it. Probably because I haven't played one of the series' games and thus have no attachment to it, heh.

Robin got some universal landing lag buffs, that must be pretty nice for you, considering how much you like your Levin Sword!

Mewtwo already felt pretty good to me though I need to get better with his 50/50s with Confusion and getting better at confirming followups.

My struggle with Villager is that, when things are working, he's probably the most fun character for me to use. It's getting in with his poor mobility, terrible grab, slow dash attack, and often limited range that puts me off.

Landing lag buffs, Dsmash lag reduction, Ftilt and Nair range buffs, and Dthrow Fair/Bair combos, oh my. I'm ready for this.

Did DThrow or FAir/BAir get changed to make that combo better or something?

Game & Watch is still sitting here the same though worse in teams, but since I'm not super serious about teams I don't mind much. I do have a list of buffs I'd like for him, starting with a quicker transition from jab 1 to the jab loop (Diddy and Ike have had the same thing done IIRC so I think it's reasonable).

Something happened to Dthrow, we know that much. All we know is that Dthrow -> Fair/Bair didn't register as a combo in Training before, but now they do on Sheik at 90% for the KO near the edge. It's fun.

Yeah, I can get behind a quicker Jab transition. Maybe they can reduce the KBG on Uair 1 as well so it's easier to connect with Uair 2.
