It's not that it's a bad choice or that you need to be a min maxing fggt... It's that every newbie either wears that or havels armor and it's actually a running joke in many souls communities is all. I'm not belittling you or anything just found it entertaining that the stereo type still exists. :3

Was my first souls game and I went into it not knowin summons or pvp was a thing. So basically I solo'd the entire game while hollow learning how to do everything on my own with no help or guides lol.

WELL idk, I'm good at RPGs and I kinda knew what to expect combat wise since I just equated it to Monster Hunter logic. I stayed Hollow for the majority too just because constant invasions + PC Souls is kind of a disaster (like you said)
The only boss that can gtfo is Bed of Chaos lmao that was annoying.
But yeah, started a new playthrough, at Sen'.s Fortress in like 2 hours, Zweihander OP for early game lmfao
