What are you asking for

How did you test weight numbers? I can test the monado modes myself if it's not too hard :O
And I'm asking for people to not call Kirby an irrelevant character :p
KuroganeHammer
KuroganeHammer
the KB formula is the same as brawl

use falco ftilt on the character in question (IT MUST DO EXACTLY 9% DAMAGE) and report the knockdown percent to me and I'll convert it to a proper weight value.
Asdioh
Asdioh
While Kirby's at 0%? I'll do that then.
Asdioh
Asdioh
ok well it doesn't work at 0%... buuuut

0% Falco Ftilting 100% Shield Kirby: Max Launcher Speed 26mph
Kirby's Launch Distance 19 ft.

0% Falco Ftilting 100% Smash Kirby: Max Launcher Speed 39 MPH
Kirby's Launch Distance 42 ft.

Tested both modes twice. Is this the correct way to do it?
KuroganeHammer
KuroganeHammer
no no no. Sorry I forgot to mention an important thing, they have to be metal, and the percent they get launched recorded. It will be around the 200% mark I'd imagine,
Asdioh
Asdioh
Oh. So... stale moves... so training mode... which would require 3 players... well this is awkward
Asdioh
Asdioh
Can it be tested with one of shulk's moves instead?
KuroganeHammer
KuroganeHammer
i guess it could be, it would require testing from brawl too though, ummm let me check shulk's data
KuroganeHammer
KuroganeHammer
ftilt is sakurai angle, 0 bkb and 100 kbg

a comparative move shulk has would be fair, if you test using fair, find the closest other characters knockdown percent and I'll hack brawl with the data you find to get a weight number down.

But it still has to do exactly 7.5% or 6%, whichever hit you decide to test with or the data will be worthless

so "knockdown" means when the move is strong enough to actually knock them on their face/back, correct?
Is it ok if I do this in Metal Smash, rather than training mode, or does that screw everything up because of the 1.05x value on fresh moves?
Hell even if it does, it should be good enough for a ballpark, right?

Smash mode Metal Kirby gets knocked down by Falco's fresh Ftilt at 228%.
Shield mode is 346%.
