Maybe. Things really aren't going well for me for the time being. I'm feeling tired, stressed, trapped, and can't connect with family.

A vacation from everything would be nice. Not gonna fly with my parents though.

Perhaps I should consider a leave of absence from my job at the theater. I'm not getting anything accomplished with this five days a week, work on weekends, 9-5 job where nothing happens.

Have you tried looking elsewhere for a job? They're rather tough to find these days, but a dead-end job isn't much better. But yeah, perhaps a break would help.

I have and nothing interests me. It's a problem with me in general in that no job excites me except artistic ones. However, for one reason or another, I can't audition for anything. Be it lack of equipment to send demos or that I don't meet appearance requirements.

So you're kind of in between a rock and a hard place, huh? If you don't mind me asking, what sort of artistic positions were/are you looking for?

Singing, film acting, and voice acting. The latter I can't do much about as there's nothin in Louisiana outside of commercials.

Hmm...have you tried going to talent festivals, music festivals, or open mic nights? I know someone who just happened to go to an open mic thing, and a talent scout was there, and signed her for a contract of some sort. It might not be likely one shows up, but it could be worth a shot.

With the way my work schedule is, I doubt I'd make it. That and my music preferences are not exactly mainstream. That, and my usual singing preferences isn't "in".

I'm making a lot of excuses aren't I?

Though I could really use some sleep but I don't get off for another hour and a half.
