Sure they did, I got third in Smash 4 so you'd best watch out, Alabama. It may have been a 7 person tournament. Brackets will be posted soon, I'm sure.

Most good regions (e.g. Cental Florida) have weeklies on weekday evenings. Pretty much the way Huntsville does it, I believe. Ordinarily, I wouldn't be sure Alabama has the concentration of players for evening weeklies to be a sustained success, but the Birmingham Friday tournaments over the...
