It's true, a better Ness won't zero in on the grab. I've found that most of them do eventually reach the point that they desperately go into that mode though. ROB takes forever to kill. Something I did leave out is you need to respect his Up air. The four ways Ness will generally kill you are...

Oh yeah, there are also these which someone probably ought to direct you to. http://smashboards.com/threads/r-o-b-matchup-analysis-8-rosalina-and-luma.396096/#post-19753542 http://smashboards.com/threads/r-o-b-matchup-analysis-14-ness.400056/ We have match up analysis threads for at least...

Rosalina is really hard. Don't ever challenge her when she is below you. Just get to the ledge using Bair and Dair to mix up when and where you fall to. Be unpredictable with Gyro or she will just gravity it. That being said she is super easy to rack up damage on if you fluster her throwing it...

I've noticed The Tantalus, also on the VGBC stream, likes forward smash follow ups at the ledge. I think it might be more reliable though perhaps less powerful. I'm still testing. When I started learning the up smash set up I was very surprised how tight the window is. It's very easy to miss.

If you like that you should watch Mister Eric on VGbootcamp's weekly stream. He gets those set ups all the time. As well as ledge placed gyro drop into down air off stage. It's really smooth looking. I've been practicing these set ups for the last couple weeks. I felt a little embarrassed to...

Hey guys, I guess I should finally formally introduce myself here! I'm Xeak! You may have seen me posting in the Sheik match up thread. I picked up ROB in brawl about three years ago. I was a Marth main before then though not competitive. I don't really know how I discovered my love for our...

    R.O.B. Matchup Analysis #2 - Sheik

Xeak again. I'm a high placing ROB main in WA. I've been playing Cacogen, likely the best Sheik in the Northwest and easily the best player we have in WA. I haven't beaten him yet but I'm learning a lot more about the match up. It felt literally impossible when I first started fighting him but...

Good secondary to cover R.O.B.'s weaknesses?

I secondary Pit. Plays very similarly walling with aerials and doing throw combos but he is faster. Doesn't hit as hard and obviously lacks ROB's incredible camp game but if you're fighting someone like Sheik or Pika who will be incredibly evasive, then in your face and juggle you Pit is a...

Mewtwo Patch (Version 1.0.6[7]) Thread [Updated: May 1st]

Rob's Up Air went from 11% to 10%. Down throw up air definitely did 21% before, now it is 20%.

    Q&A Structured Query Thread - R.O.B. Q&A

Oh man, Rob dittos are so much fun. Short hop Gyro all the time, you'll win the trade if he Gyros on the ground. Rob's up air beats out neutral air from below and down air is too slow so keep the pressure when he is above you. For the same reason be careful when trying to edge guard him. You...

    R.O.B. Matchup Analysis #2 - Sheik

Well T0mmy stomped me today, haha. I went on tilt really hard after the first couple games. Approaching is really dangerous and I had trouble toning down the aggression. We definitely want to play defensively, running away and punishing misspaced Forward Airs. I easily think this is ROB's...

    R.O.B. Matchup Analysis #2 - Sheik

Xeak here. Planning on practicing against T0mmy's Sheik a whole lot later today so I'll hopefully come back with more information. In the mean time I'll let you know my thoughts from when we practiced last month. The biggest thing he hit on in his post is the up air. We can't challenge it...
