Smash 3DS After playing the game for an unhealthy amount of hours, how are your Circle Pads?

I'm paranoid of it also, but truth be told mine's mostly fine still. I've noticed the spring (?) that's responsible for reverting the pad from the left to centre is looser than the opposite side, but the responsiveness is still fine, and it does go back to centre.

Found a neat tidbit that I've not really tested extensively enough, but just throwing it out for the sake of it. Noticed that in the Bowser matchup, you can pretty easily tack on at least 20% before about the 50% range by doing Down-throw > U-air > B-air. Can usually be repeated up to about...

Pikachu's Shocking Ways to Victory **WORKING PROGRESS

Is a good start. ^^ QA is such an integral part of Pikachu. Even with QAC gone, the mobility it provides is something only Pika can claim to have and is a huge selling point of the character. As others and yourself have said, it's a work in progress and could do with perhaps some bread and...

    Dashing Pikachu

Done a bit of research and found that a host of other characters can perform it as well. If you ask me, the best thing about it is, as it's a fox-trot and Pikachu (along with the other characters I've found able to do it) have pretty lagless dash animations when only covering a short distance...

Q&A Pikachu Q&A Thread (Ask a Quick Question, Get a Quick Answer)

Pretty sure you contribute simply by playing games online as the character, I dunno if you get more for winning but yeah. You can see how many you've contributed by looking at the Pie graph, it should say sorta top-left something like "Your points: ___"

Lol no worries, I should have been clearer when I said it. =p And yeah, getting out of multihit moves atm is a bit of a nightmare, especially jabs.

The Counter is also a pretty good answer to D-smash. I didn't necessarily mean 'spamming' it, but it's a lot easier than trying to SHFF Aerials if he's really in your face, and the somewhat larger hitbox also helps. F-tilt would be a better option if his didn't have double the range of ours. ><

For Glory's #1 use (in my opinion)

I see it the same way as you, Illuvial. I care about my W/L to the extent that a higher number is prettier, but ultimately I'd rather have a 30% winrate against people miles better than I, than a 70% one against people I stomp. Some games I can go in and 2 stock people taking as little as 30%...

I feel like Greninja is the harder matchup of the two. Shurikens can help dodge your T jolt approaches, his roll is absolutely godlike, his reach is naturally longer than Pikachu's, and if you space outside of his tilt range, he can easily punish with a close range Shadow Sneak which comes out...

    Q&A Mechanics & Techniques Discussion

Just a silly, small question. Is there any reliable means/tech that can help with dash cancelling? For example in melee where you could crouch it. Right now if I want to run up and decide to D-tilt or something, it feels really sluggish waiting for the dash to end, then inputting. Maybe I'm just...

    A shocking development

QAC stands for Quick Attack Cancel/ing. Essentially in Brawl and Project M, there's a certain frame window during landing out of a Quick Attack (into the ground or a platform) in which you can input a jump or aerial command, and Pikachu would execute it completely lag free, obviously resetting...

    A shocking development

I loved Brawl Pikachu too, QAC was such a fun dynamic that could be worked deep into the combo game. Watching somebody like Axe, QAC so fluently that it can actually be used in lieu of walking/dashing, it was just magical to me. Feel free to add and shoot me a PM if you want to go for some...

Q&A Pikachu Q&A Thread (Ask a Quick Question, Get a Quick Answer)

Yeah, it's weird. I think it's just because I've had more practice with the horizontal variant, seeing as it has more combat applications, Pika's recovery doesn't exactly call for a dead vertical recovery 9 times out of 10.
