What moves are safe when you fail the cancel?

Can you elaborate? There isn't a single move in melee that is safe on shield when failing to cancel. Doubling the lag wouldn't really do much. Are you thinking its better because its more in line with traditional fighters or something?

Defensive play can take you far in melee as well. Honestly I'd say only melee comes close 50/50 with both sides of this being viable.

Well according to op, rolls are more manageable when you camp harder/abuse the lead. Word. If you want melee go play melee with the rest of your elitist fox mains. Instead of discussing why safe rolls are detrimental to the meta, GTFO.

Unintended vs intended doesn't seem like a valuable distinction to make. I think we're better off looking at each bug/exploit/glitch/tech individually and deciding to keep them on a case by case basis. Hell, we already ban items.

There are plenty of other ways to test smash 4's competitive value that don't entail risking the progress we've made the past couple years. They'll be plenty of other tournaments for smash 4. There's a lot at risk so we should absolutely be putting our best foot forward. hail satan

It wouldn't surprise if melee maintained its position as top dog even after smash 4 comes out.
