I tested this and was not able to validate your claim. For me, explosive flame far could be inputted with up to 3 frames and close was anything from frame 4 on. The stick sensitivity setting did not change this.

Third party controllers are never as precise or reliable as first party. Also, not sure if you could map all buttons with the third party controller you referenced as the Wii u would recognize it as a GameCube controller.

I don't understand why this conversation is even happening now. Because a Bayo got second at the most recent major? Seems silly when the character is not consistently winning. I think this is a conversation that should be tabled until the end of the PGR season.

I used to use the 2ds for the same reason. Quite liked it but got hand cramps from it's shape after a while. I'm no pro but if it's comfortable and feels alright, no reason not to use it. The gcc would probably have the most optimal analog stick but muscle memory is pretty important.
