I just realized that the smash ballot closes on Saturday, so I threw in another vote for Tails today. Another thing, though - seeing all the love and support for Tails on this thread has made me very happy. Tails is my favorite character from the Sonic franchise and one of my favorite video...

I think it'd be cool if they used Super Tails as his final smash, but I doubt it would actually happen if Tails became a fighter. It seems like Sega only lets male hedgehogs go super now, for some reason...

If you don't want another Sonic character on the Smash roster, then you're probably in the wrong place, seeing as this is a support thread for Tails.

Even if Alex Kidd is the "2nd most important character in SEGA history," he's still nowhere near as popular as the likes of Tails, Knuckles, and Dr. Eggman. You forgot Ristar and Ecco the Dolphin

I totally agree, and I honestly don't even see how they would even be able to incorporate Knuckles' gliding into his moveset in the first place, unless it's similar to how Peach can float around for a little bit in the air.

To those who say Tails is the weakest Sonic character, just show 'em Sonic Battle. Tails is arguably the best and most overpowered character in that game.

Whoops, that was a typo. I meant to say none of them have anywhere near as much popularity as the Sonic franchise.

Sega has many other franchises, but one of them have anywhere near the amount of popularity as the Sonic franchise. I think Sega will probably add at least one second Sonic rep before thinking about getting someone from a different franchise.

Well, my hope for Tails getting in for Smash 4 DLC has just skyrocketed, as the whole Ryu thing has proven the unwritten "one rep per third party franchise/company" rule to be false. That being said, Tails still has plenty of competition for DLC, but at least now we know it's possible for him...

It's awesome to see all the love and support for Tails on this thread! Tails has so much competition for Smash 4 DLC, but even if he doesn't make the cut for DLC, I feel there's at least a decent chance we could be seeing him in Smash 5. It's much further down the road, but I don't care how long...

I would, but I want to vote for characters whom I think have at least a remote chance. I just don't see that with Spyro

He was the main antagonist of the Donkey Kong Country games and Donkey Kong 64, but he really hasn't appeared much at all after that, and because of that, he just seems like more of an obscure character to me. I feel like Dixie Kong would be a much better Donkey Kong representative
