The thing is, there ARE too many FE characters in the game, even Sakurai said so. Even Zelda, which is far more well-known than Fire Emblem, only has 5 where Fire Emblem has 6 (8 if you want to count the Male and Female variants of Robin and Corrin as separate people). Narrowing the number down...

Probably because he's been in it since Brawl. I dunno, I imagined they'd replace him with another Lord. And I'm not trying to be funny, but Chrom would have a high chance of being that character - assuming they made him different from Marth.

If there is another Smash, I imagine Lucina will get the boot for being the most 'clone-like' of the characters. Ike might get dropped for another character as well. Dunno if Roy would make it either. As for Robin or Corrin, they might cling on due to how popular Awakening and Fates are. Marth...

I don't play high tiers for the same reason as a lot of people; I can't play them. A lot of them require effort or some degree of learning to use them effectively, but I've been playing Robin more-or-less since the start and I've become accustomed to that play-style. The others don't work for me...
