Something I always do when picking up a new character... Step 1 - Learn the language Train with each and every move. Play some 3 stock matches against CPUs (moving targets) and for each match, use ONE of Link's moves. If you force yourself to only use the boomerang, for example, you'll find...

In some of the earlier matches you were using lots of dash attacks and getting punished, but you stopped by the last match. Only thing I'd say to use more of is up+B out of shield. Great for punishing people who like to be really aggressive, since it comes out so fast, and it punishes people...

Some good matches man! I'm also in Omaha and a Link main. I played some online matches against Villager the other night and it was a similar nightmare. It's a rough matchup for sure.

Ah that's too bad, but it is nice to see the grab range going up and the smashes being able to link up. I guess the gale boomerang buffs wound up being de-confirmed? Is the catching animation any faster?

How does everyone feel about the idea of continuing balance patches? I personally love the concept that things will always be shaken up and changing my play style accordingly. Examples being the speeding up of Link's dash attack and Dtilt, maybe making these moves more viable. And of course...

Link's Dair spike can be teched by grounded opponents, at least according to that one awesome Link instructional video (which I seem to have misplaced). But if you want to do it yourself, dair spike lvl 9 CPUs and they tech it every time.

Yo, enjoyed your videos, and I thought Thriller was a nice choice for Captain Falcon. I don't have much advice to offer other than to start throwing in more down smashes and grabs. For your first few matches though, you seem to be improving rapidly.

Remember Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link? It was the only game in the series that was a straight side scrolling action oriented game. It was not the best in the series and lacked tight controls that might have made it a classic... Side-view action Link was never revisited... except in smash...
