I play both characters and I don't think the matchup is bad for Marth at all. But if you're looking for someone to counter Captain Falcon specifically: Pikachu is one of his hardest matchups due to how tiny he is and how hard he edgeguards Falcon Ryu bodies Falcon very hard for many reasons...

I go with the F-Zero GX (Lighter Blue/Orange) color typically, although I'll sometimes use dark blue or Blood Falcon if it gets taken.

Dtilt seems to be the only thing besides dash attack that's decent in neutral against Sonic. Dash grab has its uses, but if you ever whiff it, be prepared to eat at least 30% for your troubles. If Sonic ever dash attacks at all — it's a free punish. It has a lot more ending lag than you would...

What do you guys think of the Villager matchup? This matchup seems terrible at a glance to me because he's short, zones well, edgeguards like a boss, and can kill wicked early.

So how do you guys deal with campy Sonic players as Mac, especially if they like hanging near the ledge? (Sorry if this is a dumb question, I'm just trying to improve my Mac)

The differences between the two aren't really that big – if there was a Fox/Falco style difference between the two's movesets, people wouldn't dislike him as much imo.

I'm sorry, what? Shiek gives Falcon quite a hard time, IMO. Needles are great against him, she combos and edgeguards like a boss, how does she not have a slight advantage at least? Pikachu does the best against Falcon IMO, followed by Mario, Ness, anyone that is short and/or has a half-decent...

Explosive Falcon dive gives you a bigger, better, YESZ, but it's even worse for recovering. So much fun to kill someone with it though. It's also really good at racking up damage, too.

Anybody got additional tips for playing against Mario besides those listed in the OP? Kindergarten combo into cape/fludd edgeguards and fireball spam make me feel helpless. Is this matchup just flat-out bad for Falcon?

This isn't Melee, onstage Dair isn't as good of an option imo. Also, does anyone here have MU experience vs Peach?

I've been having success with Villager versus campy playstyles as of late...of course that may just be my opponents being terrible. I also play a lot of Little Mac and some Robin/D3 here and there. Sometimes mess around with Bowser too, but not as much as the other 3.
