if they go high, shine jc bair is good, and youll have time to recover and can cover some distance, and if they go low (risky) but you can short hop and immediately dair of bair or nair and you can still recover if you you don't go out too far, but it will be a soft hit run off aerials are good...

one little trick i like to do is laser pressure them until they shield and act like you're gonna go in and wavedash back to bait a shield grab, free punish =D

what it boils down to is practice. lots and lots of practice. get really comfortable with your shine, waveshining and wavedashing to me are the foundation for falco's movement, at least in my opinion. once i became proficient with wavedashing, waveshining and wavelanding on platforms...

You need to work on the basics lol

Try to delay the input between the jump and the airdodge. Everything seems quicker paced when you are actually playing someone so you may be inputting the actions too quickly. Shine, immediately jump, wait 6 frames, airdodge in desired direction.

Honestly it really just takes a few days of practice and a week or two until you are literally l canceling everything. It's not such a big deal to just suck it up and practice
