Brawl really needs a couple more female fighters. So far there hasn't been any new females. I'm not counting Zero suit Samus and sure although the trainer is male the pokemon could be thought of as either sex. Anywho, we need more females kicking butt ... sad times that Jill won't be one. But...

Metapod as a playable character ......... hmmm ........ maybe he could come out of a pokeball, use harden & all players on screen would turn into their metal versions.

To call the trainer useless and unimportant is going a bit too far. The character you play as is the trainer ... without him all you would have is the crappy Mystery Dungeon games. Don't get me wrong ... I don't want Red as a playable character in brawl, but we can be more sensible with this...
