Can I get some help from some of the great players here?

Well, the YouTube Replays Upload part of the upcoming patch should hopefully help you a bit. I guess you might as well link a few of those videos once you can make them, that way people can give very specific advice.

The Ever Elusive Analog Smash FightStick

Well this sounds like a really cool idea. I've personally been hoping for something that would convert a regular USB fightstick into something that will spoof the wiimote, so the digital controls would work, but this is an interesting alternative. Also, with the A+B for smashes, have you...

How to deal with frustration and becoming over competitive?

I received similar advice for Skullgirls, and it's really good to consider. My advice was more "don't try to win, rather try to find something you notice your opponent doing and learn how to counter that." Alternatively, find something you aren't able to do properly or consistently and focus on...

Would you like it if there's a pay-to-unlock all customs in the Smash online shop?

If it was free, and just set up that way to basically make it an optional patch rather than a mandatory one. This isn't like DLC characters, this is on-disk stuff, and anyone who has been paying attention to non-Nintendo games for the last decade knows how that's been received.

Q&A Controller / Button Mapping Advice Thread

I'm the odd one out here then, my setup was with Pro Controller, using: B: Jump Y: Special X: Attack A: Shield C-stick: Attack R,L,ZR,ZL: Some combination of shield, grab, and jump from earlier experiments, one involving using only shoulder buttons and sticks I listed them in that order...

Why are Smash players so concerned with "advanced techniques?"

To expand on this in a different direction than @Vincent21, AT's (and other execution tests and solitaire components in games) are things that can be practiced easily on one's own, and easily measured. Learning to respond to one's opponent intelligently in a wide range of situations requires...

Smash Wii U Is the WiiMote really that awful?

I tried using this a couple days ago after getting pissed off due to input mistakes and playing some Skullgirls and Guilty Gear instead. I realized that I found the analog inputs more difficult to do consistently than digital stick inputs, especially with dashing (as I'm quite used to double-tap...

Shoulder-only Wii U Pro Controller setup thoughts

I experimented with some similar setups, and while they are nice in that they keep all options available at once, I found shorthopping was nearly impossible unless I put jump on the right side, and having attack and special on the same side as the left stick felt uncomfortable (in an ergonomic...

    New Counterpick Format

This is how smashladder.com (Anther's Ladder) handles counterpicks, so checking with tournament-experienced people who have played on that ladder seems like the most fruitful way to go about discussing this.

Smash Wii U What TV to use?

Asus monitors are also a good bet. They have HDMI inputs and are pretty much lagless (maybe 2ms or so, but anything below 16ms is fine)

    We're running EXPERIMENTAL rules tomorrow!

Onett is too small? I agree with Flat Zone X and PAC-Land (though that is a terrible stage in general), but I've not seen Onett as a particularly small stage myself.

How's this for a tournament format?

As an aside, this idea should have been an optional thing to do in a Special Smash or some other mode. Smash Tour shows that it is technically possible, but nothing was really done with it. King of Fighters style team matches would be neat to experiment with, regardless. For future reference...

Smash Wii U Quick thought on the upcoming 8-player mode, & why Time is better than Stock casually with friends

I came to this realization independently pretty much as soon as 8p smash was revealed, because I have been in many a casual Smash FFA where everyone is doing nothing but running around Hyrule Temple so that they don't die. I haven't had a chance to test it yet (I tend to play 1v1 when on my own...

Smash Wii U Will you recommend a beginner to use a GC controller instead of Wii U Pro controller?

The issue I've seen is more that wireless controllers can easily start up (just hit any button) and then connect to whatever system paired with them last, which can make setting up p1 and p2 controllers difficult ("I'm plugged in, my opponent is plugged in, why can't I select my character?!")...

    ZSS 1.0.4

From what I can gather, it will work reliably when Samus is about the distance between Battlefield's floor and one of the lower platforms, up until she is level with the target.
