I love using cape to guard the ledge and reflect recoveries and such, but I never know the right time and place off-stage to use it. Is it even a decent off-stage option?

Sorry for the late reply but I just now checked this thread again. If you're trying to recover from off stage, don't jump before you missle. Always go for the middle to get closer to the stage and then use your jump(and your recovery if needed). It gives you more options to get back onto the...

Fox definitely is a great secondary for Luigi. Especially look into his reflector for matches against Villager and for Lucario I would typically play some mind games and lead in with a shorthop Nair.
