actually there is an update coming with mewtwo so most likely, what will happen is he can be seen by players with the update, therefore only those who have him can use him, but still can be used.

from what I can see here is what we got: mewtwo is guaranteed faster. I have checked back to melee his movement speed is waaay better. in terms of power he looks like he is stronger however we will have to wait until he comes out to be sure. he looks like he might be b or even c tier, definitely...

looks to me like meta knight will be changed, but it seems his side b has not changed so I don't know how much changes there will be, we will just have to wait until either more info comes in through miiverse or the release.
