yo @ChivalRuse your pikas pretty sick. I would suggest you mix up what you do after a cross-up nair on shield. e.g cross-up nair and then sh/fullhop uair or maybe d-smash. if they catch on and shield both the nair and the move after it, mix it up with a grab after your cross up approaches. Also...

I use claw grip so you can try that. Left index finger on Y for the jump and left thumb on the b button. works for me If that's too uncomfortable you just need to practice it and do it faster
