Official 4BR Tier List V3 - Competitive Insight & Analysis

@Nu~ sorry for the late response. Megaman is good enough to be solo viable imo. He struggles most with his disadvantage state and getting combo'd which is a big problem in this meta but he has enough tools to mitigate or avoid most of it with enough creativity. Megaman seems to be a character...

Official 4BR Tier List V3 - Competitive Insight & Analysis

This MU inexperience call out is unfair and insulting to anyone who plays characters that are not meta/common, for many reasons. Firstly, MU inexperience is not the only reason players lose to rarer/unfamiliar characters, nor is it the only reason players of those characters win. There are tons...

Official 4BR Tier List v1.0 - Competitive Impressions

The Megaman - Mario MU has been figured out. It's not terrible at all, and IMO it's probably a 50-50 MU. Here's a quick, unfinished write-up: http://smashboards.com/threads/boss-select-megaman-matchup-discussion-2-0-week-9-kirby.431933/page-6#post-21109978

Meta Boss Select! Megaman Matchup Discussion 2.0

Sorry I'm late. Here's :4megaman: vs :4mario: Megaman's goal in most MUs is primarily to squeeze the life out of his opponent with oppressive lemon zoning; limiting approach options and conditioning them to make punishable decisions. Opponents typically stop lemon dominance by having a strong...

Meta Boss Select! Megaman Matchup Discussion 2.0

I will try to go in-depth tomorrow or later today as to why the Mario MU is no worse than 45-55 for Megaman.

Prior to that tourney, I had been using the 3DS. Now I use a Wii U Pro and I use the regular control scheme except I have both L triggers set to grab and both R triggers set to shield, and tap jump is off.

I think I dropped the ball beginning with my esam set X_X Props to the Mac though, he's #3 in North Carolina

Meta It's Time To Abandon 3 Starter Lists

I realize my first two points are redundant. My b. The point still stands that the bigger the starter stage list, the lower the chances of giving guaranteed advantages to characters. That's a fact. SV shouldn't be considered the most fair stage in the entire game just because it gets chosen...

Meta It's Time To Abandon 3 Starter Lists

There is so much to absorb in this thread that is still relevant today. I'll try to recap a good bit of it: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Three starters leads to unfair advantages...

    Mega Mains (high scores)

I've only been to 4 tournies, all from South Carolina. I've gotten top 8 each time. I got 2nd place at my two most recent tournaments. Lost to ESAM at the first one and then I lost to the #1 ranked SC player in the second one. edit: I also play using a 3ds, if you were wondering.

    Peach's Castle (64): Stage Research

This stage should be looked into again. Recently TOs have started banning Delfino, Halberd, and Castle Siege from their tournaments. Peach's Castle, to me, seemed more competitively viable than those stages ever were. Can we pinpoint what exactly makes this stage bad for competitive play?

Thanks man, I believe movement is #1 when it comes to playing megaman. The movement of the more well known megamen needs to be improved, and I know I still have ways to improve too.

You're right about that Falcon match, but I've played that Falcon plenty of times and he is the best Falcon I have faced. He's beaten me as much as I've beaten him but we both agree in the end that despite what Falcon can do to MM, MM can do just as much back and should be the winner of the MU
