Q&A How to Wreck *****es with Ganon?- Linguini Q&A Thread

you cant do run to anything else than dash grab or jc grab, because you cant grab directly from crouch which is what you do to do running tilts.

Q&A How to Wreck *****es with Ganon?- Linguini Q&A Thread

I was referencing the first fair, I wholeheartedly agree with on the benefit of the nair. I only thought it useful to point out the nature of the 50/50, as its good to know for when they will DI in. Armada for example will DI falcon dthrow in at the edge and combo DI for a potential uair combo...

You clearly said they expected a fair before the nair, eventhough they dont need to expect it as they can react. If they expect an uair which doesnt lead to any followups regardless of DI they will DI in and nair can combo.

Fair is so slow they can react to it, so the mixup is really between uair or nair at mid %, where uair dont combo but 1st hit nair can. Both nair and uair are unreactable.

yea, you want to be actionable as fast as possible. Though it can be beneficial to ac it instead if you are high up.

Q&A How to Wreck *****es with Ganon?- Linguini Q&A Thread

wavedash to moonwalk isnt nearly as good, waveland has much more excess momentum which carries over to the moonwalk. Because ganons jumpsquat is so slow I think its crucial to dash before doing a wavedash that isnt oos. to actually move during the 7 squat frames is kinda a huge difference. In...

only time you should run is if you need to move and be ready to attack at any time, otherwise dash+wavedash is better

if you want to cover distance as fast as possible, dash to wavedash is fastest (wavesurfing), what wavelanding offers is the biggest burst in speed which makes it harder for the opponent to defend against.

    Explain this KB reduction please

Only explanation i can give is that you crouched without the ASDI down, which leaves you with only the reduced kb and no weird di or tech situation. That has happened to me on multiple occasions when i dont intend to cc but want to do something with a downwards input.

The angle is pretty new though, or was that also well known?

I don't think there's a slightly fastfall tech in melee. If you got ledge you probably got the fastfall with you down/in input or you weren't that close to the ledge. With shield drop might be that you start at a higher speed than simply sliding off a platform since the drop probably accelerates...

if you get shined close to the ledge you have too much momentum to grab ledge with only drift inwards, so you need to fastfall. You should ff either way since then you can act faster.

isnt really any different I think, it just messes up the timing. If you fastfall at the right time (asap) you get ledge.

Still though, if it's a double shine it might be possible to make the second shine hit you towards the stage...

This is false I'm afraid. If you look closely on any TAS video with crazy SDI you'll notice it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQo5svixYyg All moves knockback direction is clearly based on which side the opponent was before hitlag and SDI can take place.
