Neither does Ness and elemental PSI, but that worked out fine. If they give Megaman abilities that span across his different incarnations, then all his fans should be happy, regardless of which Megaman makes the cut.

Actually, Sora did appear on a Nintendo handheld...and even though you could use similar (though faulty) logic regarding Lucas' introduction in the series, Lucas is in-house, whereas Sora is from outside of the company. Besides, Disney owns Sora as well and I very highly doubt Nintendo is...

I actually don't think Sakurai is going to have more than even less than a handful of those kinds of stages. We've got 20 icons so far, and of that number, only two don't yet have confirmed reps. It would be really odd to have a larger number of icons without character representation.
