I'd focus on giving everyone unique and useful final smashes before trying to give everyone multiple.

It would probably become a cult classic for unique gameplay, maybe even spawn a sequel but it wouldn't be remotely as popular as Smash. Smash become what it is because of likable characters.

More specifically, while we DO care about his moveset, that's the most negotiable part of Ridley getting in as a character.

The sad thing is, this could have been settled OVER A YEAR AGO had they just conclusively stated that Ridley isn't going to be playable when they revealed Pyrosphere instead of tiptoeing around the issue for so long. I'm sure everyone would have been much happier to not get their hopes up.
