Each character has his own weaknesses, but that doesn't make them bad for all that.

if we look at the unique things of each team, maybe samus is a better choice. Not only for the healing part but also for the side possibilitys. She is better off stage than fox so, better in term of recovery (for ness and for her). Her bombs can be used for some tricks, for exemple free PK fire...

Young link can be really good if you make a good use of his boomerang, arrow, and bombs. Plus, he have some good moves like his Nair, Uair, Dtilt, Dsmash. In my opinion, he can beat every one even if he have some harder matchups, considering the hardest to be far from unwinnable.
