    Maybe make the nair down followup a KO move? Or at least give it decent KB but keep the damage low. That way people would be hesitant to just throw it out after dashing in because it would mean the end of a potential combo.

    Actually I thought charge B was a bit too good in 1.1. Not sure if Eldiran changed it in 1.2, but 1.1 definitely felt too good for a double firing projectile with optional persistent boomerang backup.

    Would hitting A at the right time during the item taunt giving him the Geno Boost effect on the ground be an option? It would definitely be SMRPG-like.

    Not entirely. The mechanics you list apply to a vast majority of moves when they land and across a very large spectrum of the game that are used all over the place. Nobody intends to get a bank-shot KO by planning it out. Nobody goes "oh man I hope he doesn't DI because this would kill him...

    Have you considered integrating the Final Smash moveset into his regular one? It seems like a real shame to let most of his really cool moves from X4 go to waste for the majority of the time, and never even see them unless the smash ball is turned on.
