I've stopped believing Smash was purely a Nintendo crossover once Snake entered the picture back in E3 of 2006. I can't imagine most, if any of the third parties that are involved with Smash currently and those who didn't get the shot this time around would pass up the opportunity to the next...

Those are very well sculpted

Microsoft seems fairly likely to stay on board for Smash for a while, and there's a pretty good chance that Master Chief be their 3rd rep after Banjo and Steve.

Honestly, I can't see Nintendo pulling the reboot switch on Smash, especially not after how much of a huge hit Ultimate is. The bare minimum I can see them doing is an Ultimate Deluxe/Final edition if they don't want to do a full on new sequel.

I've not played any of the Paper Mario games since Super Paper Mario on the Wii. I just know that after watching some LPs of Sticker Star and of Color Splash, the heart and soul of the series was lost to me at least.
