My first suggestion is to play 3 stock matches. I've never done online, so I don't know if you can change that. If you can, cut down the length of your matches by reducing stocks. From the small bit I watched (one of the "best" matches on Lylat,) use the Down B to attack less. I haven't tried...

I could see how retreating the Forward B could be useful, but you have to give up too much. It's not worth giving up c-sticking aerials for the little you gain from it. Of course my opinion comes from maining Falcon in Melee where you could use U airs almost on the ground with no lag, backward...
