@Thinkaman On a super minor pit related note regarding your genesis character list, len has definitely been using a bit of Dark Pit , seemingly much more than Pit from searching for recent vids of him.

Update on kuro, according to Twitter he is indeed maining fox now. As a Pit/Dpit player it makes me sad, but can't blame him for it. I'm hoping he'll still keep the Pit as a secondary. Will be interesting to see how the change works out for him, that weekly seems to be a good start.

Kuro has always had a secondary fox, and he actually did go all fox for at least 1 tourney a while ago, so it'll remain to be seen if this is the new norm for him or he's doing what earth did for a little bit going all one or the other in different tourneys.

Earth may have used Pit more than Corrin, since where I saw the results (https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DBKKrJeXUAA8qIL.jpg:large) Pit was listed first, though since I don't think there was a stream it could just be the person posting didn't know he switched mains? He did use Pit more than Corrin...

Saw Hobbit use ZSS last night on stream against Lickey.

If only Earth had played like he did starting game 3 from the beginning, he gave up those first 2 games pretty handily.

Granted, Earth DID win a japanese tourney about a month ago (https://www.ssbwiki.com/Umebura_BenQ_ZOWIE_Cup, 224 entrants), against KEN too, and Kuro got 3rd at the Karisuma Tokaigi Qualifier, beating 9B. Hasn't had the best placements since then though, but hoping he'll do well today at Genesis.

Kuro also didn't really play that the best, kept getting punished for dash attack on shield and kept trying to challenge Rob's dair with usmash which wasn't working at all.

You're right that he has options to try to land, but in my opinion you downplayed how much of a problem it can be. The key thing being that his options either don't have the best coverage for landing or are slow and unsafe, so he can't do it safely. Anyways, with shulk I kinda get the feeling...
