    Wow, I might not even play as Samus anymore

    Until I get my hands on Brawl myself, I reserve judgment on whether or not Samus will still be one of my top favorite characters to play as.

    Zero Suit Samus Questions & Answers

    In regard to this second question, it is answered in the ZSS video thread here, in which the player starts the game as ZSS and immediate proceeds to hurl parts of her suit at her opponent. In almost all of these matches, there are no items.
