My name is John Franks. I'm a 20 year old American college student. I am obsessed with tricking - a self-taught blend of many martial arts, gymnastics skills, breakdancing moves, and original/personal flairs. I've been doing it for five years, and have also been golfing since I was four years old. Trombone and music have been a big focus for me since fifth grade. Currently, I am looking for work in acting in films, as well as studying all aspects of music (jazz improv, composition, trombone play...). I am addicted to fitness and nutrition - almost unhealthily so. On the side I enjoy sketching, writing, spriting, game design, filmmaking, editing, composing, gaming, daydreaming, and spending time with my amazing family. I also have a manga in the works.

I've known for years that professional Smash existed, but that was it. I only actually discovered the scene after seeing decent players at my first local anime convention visit. Then I looked up matches on Youtube. Within a month, I was knowledgeable of the scene and binging on Smash streams. However, life consistently got in the way of me actually trying my hand at Melee. I'm remedying that now. I also would like to dabble in some TASing.
