On for marth. Off/On for luigi. I used to play with off for a very long time, but later on I got the hang of things and I really didn't notice a difference anymore. I have On for marth for his upB from shielding.

Imo it's better to approach via a full hop + aerials/air dodging, going behind and a bit over G&W. Honestly, there's really nothing luigi can do on a direct ground approach because of G&W's dtilt + SH bair. SH'ing is still asking for a bair. Fireballs are fine as long as you don't... spam too...

I like using heavy characters more than lighter ones because I think they're more fun, but ironically I main a midweight, Luigi (with his floatiness he looks more like a lightwieght too).

Sometimes when I try to upB, I occasionally accidentally do the green missile. I think this throws off the shield and unshield timings a lot, and sometimes the misfires basically get them >.>

Hmm alright, but I don't see any good side of the angled up b though. I've seen countless mario's missing edges that are extremely close because they mess up their up b, not to mention that luigi's can be used for instant kill btw.

Luigi's air game is better. So really the only thing left is ground game discussions really. Now, about fireballs: ok so mario's are gravity affected.....so they can have their pluses against luigi's. As for luigi's fireballs, you can say they're not great but only luigi's fireballs can rack...

Isn't there also a hitbox that's right at luigi's toes? I know I've spiked/meteored (dunno which one it is) people as they were trying to go back up to a ledge, and I frequently drop down and Dair and they just plummet straight down. I basically hit their heads for this too.
