You can simply wave dash in-place. From there you can perform anything you choose, at the exact location you were just in. Or short hop aerials, and in your falco-case lasers.

Definitely hyped for Splatoon. I think the game will do okay, but I doubt this game will make people want to buy a wii u. The game is deserving of the hype as long as there is a local multiplayer option, more than a couple different stages or arenas, and smooth online play.

My friends and I are all in Byron. Also, UWO has a tourney coming up this weekend for melee and starcraft2. It's on the 18th from 1pm-10pm in the physics and astronomy building. Sounds awesome. There are 4 of us that play, but I would say only 3 of us take is semi-seriously. Of the 4 of us I'm the only one that has put time into learning the basic tech stuff, like SHFFL and wave dashing, but my 1 friend has been trying to get better at wave dashing and short hopping :P...

You need a SD card that has equal to or less than 2gb. So no, unfortunately your 8gb card will not work :( I bought a 2gb Sundisk SD card for 10 bucks at a Best Buy, so at least they aren't crazy expensive!

I experience this issue as well. I always play with 3 of my friends, so 4 humans playing at once. I don't think this is character or stage dependent, it seems to freeze at random. We usually play for around 3 hours at a time, and on average it freezes about 2-4 times in that 3 hour time period...
