If you go to the tournament today, please refer people to this thread. Several of the guys I spoke with were not familiar with smashboards. I sent several of them links to here so we can have a central place to network with each other.

Illmatic, It is not required to pay the convention fee ($35) in order to participate in the tournament, I only needed to pay the tournament entry fee ($5 yesterday, $10 today). There were about 12 players in the tournament and 1st place won $30. Considering today's tournament is $10 entry fee...

Good to know. One tourney I went to would not let me use my own controller, even though the controller they provided to me wasn't working properly.
