Hawkedge

I've been playing for years. I got melee when I was 9 I believe, and my older brother Marc and I played the ever-loving **** out of it until Brawl came out. Brawl was hype as **** because the graphics were really good at the time. And then tripping happened.
I started getting really salty when I would play with my best friend Roy, who also plays in this area (SkilledRoy, Jaxxter are tags he uses) whenever I would trip during the brawl era. It was happening like every game, and it very rarely happened to him so I felt as if the game was playing against me! I stopped playing brawl when I was 16 because I was just getting too salty. Hormones, I guess. Anyways, after a short break from Smash, Roy and I began going to the weekly smash tourneys at Palouse Games in Pullman, Washington. Since then, I've gotten really into playing Project M, Samus being probably me best character. It's the first game where she has felt enjoyable and competitive to me, which is nice since she is my favorite Nintendo character! I'm still working on my technical skill, and currently do not own a project M setup so I can't practice regularly, but my years of experience gives me a good understanding of game mechanics, terminology, frame data, attack timing, reading, and options. I use these to my advantage, as you should too!

Finally got a set-up, thank god, and holy crap have I come a long way. The tech I had heard of or read about in PM I can finally put into action and it feels good, man.

Fundamentals are there for a reason. Go for the mad styles and don't be afraid to mess up! While only perfect practice makes perfect, practice brews perfect practice. Learn from your mistakes, as I have, and remember, the best player is one who is best at the GAME and not the CHARACTER. You could be the best Falco in the world, yet to the best Peach in the world, you're going to quickly find out who's the better PLAYER.
