There is literally nothing wrong with GS codes.

There are ways to emulate the modded 19xx ROMs core features using just gameshark codes, no modding needed. This includes all of the stages you can't normally play on and timer during stock matches.

All the other stages suck for competitive play for various reasons that have been discussed for years.

I can get games with Boom, theZ, dext3r, warnwu, revan, LD, jamie, supa, and now kero pretty regularly. 9 top 30 NA players sounds pretty good to me.

some characters have the perfect jumps heights to perfect land on platforms. Off the top of my head, fox's instant double jump perfect lands on top plat, link's instant double jump perfect land's on the side plat, kirby's running full hop perfect lands on side plat, DK's standing short hop...

He waited for the end of his dash and short hopped straight up and then input towards the platform which would give him a perfect land with no landing lag.
