A D-pad wouldn't be able to properly register tilts and such. With analogue controls the stick can be moved to varying degrees (ie: a little bit, all the way over) while a D-pad could only register the input one way, and that input would be seen as the equivalent of moving the stick all the way...

I'm actually kind of happy to see Doc back on the roster. If anything, he's my favorite variation of Mario (Doc > Luigi > Mario). I can only assume he was in a similar position to Lucina ie: an alt turned into a character to pad out the roster. As for his Final Smash, I'd love it if he went off...

It's like the Eevee-lutions or Poliwrath vs Politoed, they're separate branches of evolution. Both Slowbro and Slowking are the final evos of their respective branch.

Might stick with my XL for now, but at some point I may upgrade to the New XL. Wonder if Smash 3DS will actually have CCP/New support in terms of the additional buttons/stick.

I wasn't planning on using it originally, but I love how Black Yoshi looks riding in the GLA. Might be my go-to combo now.
