How do I play defensively as Mewtwo?

It sounds like you are trying to oversimplify the solution to all of the problems. There isn't a simple answer. And you need to not make any excuses for your gameplay. You can overcome your twitchy finger or any other bad habits you may have. Mewtwo benefits from a defensive playstyle the most...

    Struggling against Fox

If you were a great mewtwo player, you wouldn't start by calling fox unfair. Low level **** there

    Does Mewtwo even doubles?

My static doubles partner is a captain falcon also actually. I have the issue that he is a lower-skilled player in general, and feels like he has to run in constantly and he ends up getting double teamed if I charge a shadow ball. Anyone have advice for me or him specifically on how we can work...

Lucario or Mewtwo? Who to choose for competitive?

They aren't similar characters at all in my opinion. Neutral b is the only real similarity. I don't know much lucario tech, so my opinion is biased, but mewtwo is great. He requires skilled play though, and you can plan on dying very early. His combo game is amazing, though a little...

Data Spy! - Ness Matchup Directory

I think your 2 stock was more about that player not doing well against dark pit. The MU is pretty even in my opinion. I'd call it 50:50. Maybe even a bit in ness' favor. Pit may outrange ness in general, but ness' aerials are still superior. His fair will stuff your aerials if they aren't...

Data Spy! - Ness Matchup Directory

-4 is essentially unwinnable. And I've seen both of them play, and they even put up a fight against Dabuzz. The percents are very close most of the match. They've shown the way to recover is to get as close to rosa as you can off edge, then her down b hits you slightly, and you get a free...

Data Spy! - Ness Matchup Directory

Okay I agree with most of what you've said, but -4 is just ridiculous. You have to pretend that 2 equally skilled players are using these characters, and rosalina isn't easy, but it is still very competitive. Ness has options to win. Also, how do you figure he's harder online?

Data Spy! - Ness Matchup Directory

Luigi's frame data is substantially better. I never realized until I had this same discussion with noa. His aerials came out soooo much faster. Luigi and ness are both combo kings, but Luigi has better options to get the grab to start it. (Jab lock to grab, fireball to grab) Ness can magnet...

Would anyone like to open a discussion for the MU with sonic? I have very little experience with it and am interested in what yall have to say

Trying to get into competitive smash but can't even beat lvl 9 cpu

Playing level 8s isn't the way to go. They make predictable mistakes still. Just delayed shield or dodges. Most of the time the different decisions just end up getting them hitting when a 9 would've shielded or dodged. @Conda

Trying to get into competitive smash but can't even beat lvl 9 cpu

I could very easily beat level 9 cpu's all day long. It does not transfer over to real people very well. It took a lot more to become good against people. It's a bunch of psychology and ****. Gotta be in their head, because they can make decisions that coms cannot. If possible, I highly suggest...
