    That's supposed to work that way. It's a compromise between not having handoff infinites, but not wanting her to throw randomly like in Melee. I think they even slowed down the animation of uthrow to allow for followups on reaction.

    Controlling Nana's throw direction leads to handoff infinites anywhere on stage, which is almost as dumb as wobbling (and has the same end result).     I think Farfetch'd or Marowak would be cool (swords!), weird movers like Meloetta, Hitmontop, or even Ludicolo, but the absolute ultimate would be Hawlucha. Holding out for Hawlucha.

    I'm a big fan of wavejabbing for approaching synched. It's pretty hard to punish and when landed can give you grabs.

    The right direction? If you're starting from scratch, read the Melee IC boards. Notable differences in PM include Brawl-style Up B tether, both can grab ledge, and almost all desynchs from both brawl and melee are available. Nana is also smart enough to recover on her own, most of the time...
