So far in my time playing as Ness, over Sm4sh and Melee, I've tried to use the Down+B to its full potential. I've noticed that a lot of physical, holdable in some sense, attacks don't get converted to health by the Down+B. Things like lasers and fire will get converted. Does anyone have a list...

This happens to me probably 7 out of every 8 times I try to play online. I'll try to mess with the DMZ and see if it works.

I can't tell if I'm bad at the game and I'm losing because of that, or because I'm maining Ness who is a bad character. Is Ness bad or do I just suck? Can someone confirm?

Thanks for the input! I'm still playing with Ness, but I also picked up Sheik. She's a really fun character to use, and she has the combo ability that I just can't seem to make happen with Ness. I'm still leaning about how to deal with good characters like spacies and Marth, but that will come...

Yeah, I was never allowed to have video games as a kid, so I caught up on everything I missed now, and I just really loved SSBM as soon as I started playing.

I agree with the Blue and and Original, just not the bumblebee, cause they're the colors of my rival high school hahahaha All of the color schemes look good I think, Ness probably has the best colors in the game.

I like the Green and Orange, just cause my favorite controller is orange and if I put it in the 4 Player slot it makes for some nice color coordination. Green is also my favorite color.
