So if I understand it correctly, if you really need to do a bomb slide, the downward fake out into whatever direction is the best?

When I see Link players play in tournaments, I see a lot of up throw bomb slides. Is there any reason for this? Wouldn't it be better to throw it forward to the enemy so that the enemy has to avoid a hitbox?

Yeah, but you can't compare the hate that ZeRo gets to the hate Izaw gets. ZeRo may get a little hate from doing something, but it is usually either sometimes out of jealousy or sometimes out of annoyance of how much he wins SSB4. Izaw isn't hated because of gameplay, but from his actions.

I think he means that they offered him a match against one of the best player to fuel the guys ego, and then that player will crush the guy until he never touches a controller again from pure grief.
