Sounds like you're moving too far horizontally after you already hit them with your dair. If I had to guess, you probably aren't fastfalling your dair quickly enough, that or you're overshooting your dair too much.

Yay s2j is back to smashboards! I think shield stops are good in certain matchups, particularly Marth and Sheik. It's another 50/50, and I think how well it works depends mostly on playstyle. Works well against those who love putting out hitboxes/zoning, doesn't work well against the grab...

For me I think it took me about 1-2 weeks of practicing it daily (during my daily tech skill practice, which is like an hour) before it finally 'clicked' with me. It's very hard to learn, but when you do master it, it's great because the muscle memory will be engrained in you for a looong long time.
