After 237 hours with Villager, I'm dropping him.

@Wyles, I want you to do me a favor. First, I want you to go look up the ssbm tier list for today, and the one from 2002. I want you to compare them carefully before reading the rest of this. Did you notice where jigglypuff was on the first? How about Zelda? Mario? In the beginning, people...

Help get me started playing the ICs

Plain and simple, experiment: Get back down to the very basics. Get a "feel" for the knockback and power on each moves. Figure out what comboes into what. After that, I'd go with what Derf said, add in the chaingrab knowledge, and finish it off with learning SoPo (Seriously, this is important...

If you haven't heard of Harmony of Heroes, you need to read this.

Harmony of Heroes is a fan-made remix album, made by the same people who made Harmony of a Hunter (a metroid variant). The theme this time is Smash Bros! The total songlist is 101 and there's said to be over 7 hours of content. Currently there is a stream/liveparty going on for it here...

    Kill moves?

This is some good stuff. Before I was primarily using uair/dthrow to kill (especially uair vs his peach). Knowing that there's many more options than those and learning to apply them should help a lot. I also definitely need to work on my edgeguard game. Thanks guys!

    Kill moves?

So I play a friend a lot (he likes mario/peach/rob) and I've noticed that, while I seem to have no trouble racking up percent on him, I seem to have trouble getting that final killshot in, and I suspect it has to do with my choice of moves used in most situations. So quite simply what I'm asking...

New No Setup IC "Jump Desync"

This is part of why I love Ice Climbers: We're always finding new shenanigans to mess with and add to our nigh-limitless options ;)

    Leveling up Nana's 'Reference AI'

Hm...Well this is certainly an interesting prospect. Is there any way to incorporate the %-based behavior into this layout as well? Just another random thought I'm throwing out, but perhaps Nana's solo behaviors could be reminiscent of two computers on the same team?

    Leveling up Nana's 'Reference AI'

So I'm just cherrypicking at this point for the sake of keeping interest in Nana's AI, but is it perhaps possible that Nana's AI level is influenced by Popo's %? Said theory comes from the "No/few smashes while below 50%" standard, along with the note from Short Fuse in Fly's recent post. It...

    Leveling up Nana's 'Reference AI'

Assuming the "nana won't use smash attacks while popo is under 50%" rule is true, there's definitely some difference: She tossed in a dsmash while I was at 44%. How far this extends, I don't know.

    Leveling up Nana's 'Reference AI'

I'm also curious about how else this would effect her AI? Meaning: If I recall (And aren't just going crazy), I read somewhere around here that Nana won't do smash attacks until (I think) Popo gets above 50%. Would this change that at all?

    Leveling up Nana's 'Reference AI'

My experiences with Nana tells me that she is definitely reacting much more quickly than usual though, in that video. There's typically a lot more delay between her attacks than that (referencing the grab>dthrow>utilt)

    Leveling up Nana's 'Reference AI'

So to me, the question is now whether or not people will complain about this. It shouldn't make too much difference at high-level play, but around mid-level Nana seems like she'd be notably more capable of defending herself, based on the first video.

    Zelda Balance and MU Learning

I dunno if anyone brought it up before (Haven't read through the entire thread) but this reminds me about the whole ordeal about Bowser being OP way back when. People didn't recognize that if you could force him to approach and use all those laggy moves, he suddenly became a lot easier to...

Good stuff guys, and thanks for the vid Tomber. Good examples of both moves having uses.
