I have had a birth defect known as Chiari Malformation and Tethered Spinal Chord my entire life. I had to work harder and was always sick and was accused of faking my illness.
Once doctors had evidence they turned their head, but treatment is must best done early on with these conditions. Especially Tethered Spinal Chord. I suggest you research it.
The last Decade has been a gauntlet of terrible pain and disability that worsened as time goes on. I was told that a surgery went bad and my prognosis had a slim chance for survival. However, I found a different treatment, but if unsuccessful I would have to undergo the treatment that would leave me paralyzed eventually.

During a brief time when i was capable of living with locked tight muscle spasms. I used the SMASH MELEE tourney scene as a distraction as I also tried to push and push. I went on trips and escorted people to tourneys in my van and went to locale and major tournaments from 05 through 07.
BODY BROKE DOWN IN 2008 and have been unable to play or do anything. I once again made the same mistake this time shame on me. Worked hard to plow through and it cost me my school career (3 courses from graduating) and a healthy future.

My Eyes are open and I am at the end of repair.
I am still tortured and feel like a split open phantom.
My efforts in life have all been phantom hits knowing what
was to happen but never could happen
I was struck with internal lightning (in my spinal chord)
Delusions are fading and there seems to be a way back.
If these painful exercises continue to succeed I will be back but I will never be the same.I am a painful fresher plate with all past knowledge before jumbled now clear
at the price of using deep dark mental energy.
